About B & O
In 1965, Bob Benton and Claude Overbury founded what would become one of the Lower Mainland’s most long-standing and diversified wall and ceiling contracting firms.
Today, Overbury’s sons, Graham and Greg, own Benton & Overbury and have expanded its services to include maintenance, manufacturing and distribution. “Graham and I also own and operate Pacific Partition Manufacturing Ltd., where we produce a full line of demountable partition systems, cubicle curtains and IV track systems which have been installed in hospitals and care facilities in BC and Alberta,” says Greg.
B&O are also distributors for Armstrong and Tectum acoustical products.
The brothers credit the arrival of suspended t-bar ceiling systems as their launching pad to expansion. “From there we have taken on steel stud and drywall, load bearing, prefabricated truss systems, raised access flooring, demountable partitions, Comflor composite deck systems and exterior systems including Hardi.”
Company president Greg Overbury is the personification of unbridled energy. Currently in his second term as president of the AWCC, he is also the contractor representative for the Lower Mainland Wall & Ceiling Association.
B&O currently employ six office staff and crews that range anywhere between 40 and 80 skilled and seasoned individuals, many of whom have been with the firm for over 30 years.
